Afternoon Tea and Visit to Cutty Sark Ship in London

Enjoyable afternoon tea and an interesting tour!

We were really impressed with the tour of the Cutty Sark itself and had a great afternoon tea afterwards. I’ve walked past it many times but this was the first time to go aboard! It’s especially impressive when you realise how much of the ship is still the original clipper. There is a good amount of interactive exhibits and plenty to read and learn about. The full visit takes 1-1.5 hours, which falls into a nice spot of not being too long but long enough to feel like it’s good value. We particularly enjoyed walking around on the deck and exploring the crew quarters. And a good photo opportunity at the captain’s wheel. The afternoon tea was very nice, featuring a selection of sandwiches (mackerel, cheese and cucumber, ham and cheddar and egg mayo), a homemade scone with jam and clotted cream and a good selection of cakes. Overall we were very pleased with our visit and it made for a good birthday present!

Take tea service under the keel of the cutty sark, the ship was fascinating. The tea service was very good .

The Cutty Sark exhibit was amazing . The tea party was just so so. Nothing special about any of the foods. My husband really enjoyed everything about the ship!

Doesn’t quite Cutty the mustard

The waitress was the redeeming feature and ever so polite. Such a shame that when my wife asked for an additional teabag she was told she’d have to pay for it. Some of the cakes were stale too.

Wonderful and disappointing

Our visit was lovely and very enjoyable, the only thing that let it down was the afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious but we were only allowed 1 tea bag per a pot. When asked for a refill we were only allowed hot water. Some members of our party asked for coffee which they received only to be told be told by the waitress that she should not of offered coffee. It all seemed very penny pinching. I can only some up that a great day out and wonderful food was spoilt by a tea bag. I would suggest taking spare tea bags in your pocket.

Birthday tea

Very nice but sandwiches limited, would have welcomed them being replenished. Scones very small. But super delicious. Brownies exceptional. Service was very good.

Fantastic afternoon get away

Greenwich was a nice town to visit, lots of old taverns and shops to visit. Afternoon tea was fantastic and the food was surprisingly good. The cutty stark was quite interesting. We enjoyed the afternoon very much.

Worth a visit

Very interesting visit. Plenty of information and easy to move round. Had an afternoon tea treat and I hope they are aware of the treasure they have in Lynn the waitress. She couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful and treated everyone as though they were VIP’s. She made the experience a real pleasure so thank you Lynn.

Afternoon tea was delicious, one member of staff Lisa was attentive and looked after us very well.

Lots of information on the ship and lots of interactive things for children. Well laid out and you can take as much time as you like.

The ship was fantastic, the afternoon tea was a let down, seem surprised when asked for coffee and the cakes tasted strange. Didn’t get asked if we wanted any further drinks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our “afternoon tea” on the sole surviving tea clipper the “Cutty Sark” At Greenwich, UK! The tea itself was delicious and the tour of the ship was fun indeed and informative. The walking tour of Greenwich was very interesting as well!

Great experience for your first afternoon tea

We were excited about the opportunity to have an afternoon tea while in London and this experience was perfect. Relaxed and peaceful sitting under the Cutty Sark. The staff were wonderful and did everything they could to ensure we had a pleasant time.

Lovely Afternoon

Lovely tea experience without the stress. The hostess was very attentive and the food was excellent! We went during the week and it was very quiet…no crowds! Great experience for first timers.

Overall a lovely day out and impressive to see. However, I would book the ship entrance and afternoon tea separately. Pros - Cutty Sark itself is just beautiful - Shannty singers - no time limit to look around the ship - for afternoon tea they catered for vegans - Staff for afternoon tea were excellent! Cons - No guide included in this voucher. - no headphones available on site. You tour the ship yourself.* - very loud in the surrounding glass building - it is more of a canteen / café where you have the afternoon tea and not a restaurant. It's under the ship and a bit loud. *Notes: If you want your own audio you should download the smartify app.

Awesome visit.

Excellent afternoon so very interesting. Great cream tea too. Highly recommended. Food was so fresh and service was brilliant. Such an intetesting piece of history. Great feat in keeping it is such great shape.

Great tour

Fab time with business colleagues on our tour around the Cutty Sark followed by afternoon tea which was just perfect. Brilliant location and great staff and tour guides.
