I was so disappointed the sandwiches contained way too much cream cheese so you could not taste the salmon or cucumber, the girls had a very heavy accent , difficult to understand and you got no explanation at all or pointing out of the major historical sites , it needs a guide but one that just points out and gives history and points out major historical landmarks.

Fun Trip - Excellent Service

We had a thoroughly enjoyable trip aboard The English Tea Bus. Our tickets were for the premium upper deck and we were absolutely delighted when we were shown to our seats at the front of the bus! Undoubtedly the best spot with amazing views throughout the journey. The service we received was first class and the food tasty. We would have liked a commentary but the background music was better than not having anything at all.

Afternoon Tea Bus

The Afrernoon Tea Bus was absolutely fantastic. They showed us London sights while feeding us delicious food and drink. The staff was very friendly, funny and worked hard.

Great & memorable experience!

My mom and I had memorable experience on this Afternoon Tea Bus tour with Golden Tours. The food was tasty! Nilza, Raja and Ivan provided a great service!! Kudos to the team!!

Well worth while

We chose this as it was something different that we haven’t done before. The ladies were absolutely brilliant. Food was good and my allergy was catered for. Unfortunately there were unforeseen circumstances that made the tour a bit boring (route changes not due the company). The driver did his best.

Just ok

Wouldn’t recommend. Based on difficult to understand tour guide, day old pastries and not a great value. Servers were pleasant.

The tour was amazing!

The tour was amazing! Really great views and incredible service. The guides Diya and Raja made us all feel very special and the driver, Cleveland, was brilliantly navigating the streets of a London. It was a fabulous 90 minute tour with yummy food and refreshing tea and prosecco. I had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Brilliant time!

Ola,Raja and Jam were all amazing! So friendly and made the time a real pleasure. Food good, atmosphere great. Bus clean and good to see the sights of London whilst drinking prosecco!

Plane delayed, tour wouldn't work with us to reschedule

Plane delayed, tour wouldn't work with us to reschedule. Only in London for the day. First trip overseas and were hoping to see a bunch of things on this tour.

Okay but wouldn’t do it again

The tour was scheduled for 11:30 but I got moved to 12:15 without any notice or email. Staff were friendly and the views were nice. The food was simple as you may expect. The bus driver sounded like he may have been giving good info and commentary Howe we could not hear him over the loud music playing the entire time. Was a nice way to see the city but perhaps not good value for money. The souvenir was a very cute idea.

Sounds good on paper

I booked this experience for my mums birthday present. I paid for the premium upper deck so we were sat at the very front of the top part of the bus. We both love seeing the sights and taking pictures so I thought it would be well worth paying that extra £10 each for the luxury… Well, it wasn’t. The front window was all scratched up, which surprised me considering you’d think they would have kept something like that in good condition. There was bird poo marks dotted all over the window too, again surprising, I’d have thought it would have been cleaned? It meant every photo we took ended up with smudges and marks, and trying to zoom in, all it focused on was the scratches so it was pointless me paying for that extra luxury. Quite disappointing. The afternoon tea itself was ok, nothing really had any flavour, either the sandwiches or the cakes. I was hoping the scones would have been homemade but I’m pretty sure they weren’t. Everything was all rather tiny or maybe I’m just a bit of a pig. I’ll let you decide from the picture. You get a cold and a hot drink but if you’re like me and only drink cold, you only get 1 cold drink. There wasn’t an option to pay for another drink so keep that in mind as it’s a 90 minute tour. Your hot drink is given to you in your free takeaway travel cup which is quite cute as a little souvenir of the day. My mum was quite happy with that. When I booked this I was fully aware there was no commentary but I know London well anyway so we were happy seeing things without the hustle and bustle of people getting in the way. With it being a BUS, yes the seating is small, the same you would get on any normal bus so bare that in mind. Over all I found the experience quite underwhelming and for the price, it’s not something I would recommend to others.

Brilliant afternoon tea tour

Wouldn’t do it again !

I was very disappointed it was for a Friends Birthday I couldn’t Fault the staff , The Tea for 2 , 1 scone each !!!! The cakes were so small …… 1 bite and it was gone sandwiches not great was suppose to get a glass of Prosecco so you would assume it would be a full glass but it was with Orange Juice I did say about it but it was brushed aside .

Not value for money but OK

The food was pleasant as was the tea and Prosecco. We sat top deck front with very little space. It was an interesting drive with lots of interesting places on route. Ola and Raja did their best but their English language was quite limiting. Overall for £62,50 pp I expected much better.

Family visit

All well organised. And tickets all accessible.. I paid for my family and they easily accessed all information.

Seek tea elsewhere!

"Tour" is misleading. It's more like a bachelorette party on wheels - alcohol, loud music, and expensive looking but questionable tasting snacks. I knew there was no live guide commentary, however the staff didn't point anything out that we passed. Even if they had, the bus was going so quickly you wouldn't have been able to enjoy it anyway. I paid to sit solo in the front seat and I'm not sure how two people would've fit, tight quarters. And the windows were dirty too so there's spots all over my pictures, but that's par for the course I suppose! The best part of the whole trip was the prosecco and the bite-size sweets, scone and finger sandwiches were not pleasurable. Unfortunately the souvenir cup is quite cheap and not durable, so I may get a few uses out of it before it has to be tossed. For the $78 USD that I spent, I could've put it to better use on another experience, for sure.

Good concept, poor execution

I love afternoon tea and visit London a lot, so after being gifted this experience we were looking forward to seeing London in a different way. As others say, the bus stop is hard to find at the back of Victoria Station, down a sode road so leave time for this. We were a couple, seated with another couple. They were nice and chatty but it all felt very squished in, without much room. We were served a nice glass of prosecco to get started. Lucky for us, we know a lot of the sights in London but I felt for those who wanted to benefit from the "tour" element as it was virtually non-existent. We passed a lot of landmarks and I think the hostess commented on maybe 4 of them. These were minimum comments too e.g. "Buckingham Palace is there". They pointed out the Royal Courts too - maybe a line or two about what cases they hear might help tourists. The afternoon tea was OK. Nothing special at all. Tea was served in a takeaway momento cup too. Would I recommend? no? If you want afternoon tea, go elsewhere. If you want a tour of London try the other amazing tours on offer.

Birthday celebration

Loved it. Great way to see the sites. Our hosts Diyarbakir and Aisha were very welcoming and made the trip great fun. Would definitely recommend it

Best special afternoon tea experience

We had the most wonderful time with Aishat and Anish on the bus. The sweets and sandwiches were fabulous and so were the views. Big thanks to Fernando for driving us around safely and to Anish and Aishat for the amazing service.

Central London afternoon tea

Clean bus, pleasant staff. Food was nice but cheese heavy....cream cheese and cucumber, cream cheese and salmon, creamy cheddar cheese and a spare coronation chicken wrap. Fresh and tasty cakes and scones. We know london well but there were a few tourists who didn't know what several of the landmarks were, so it would be helpful if the staff could point these out or have a plan of the route on the tables. Would recommend

Tea and London's Best Attractions!

We found touring London's main sites while having an English Afternoon Tea w/lunch a lot of fun! There was music, sites to see, tea, tea sandwiches, and extremely pleasant hostesses that made our experience one to remember!

Touristy but fun.

It was cute and the group at the opposite table were delightful. The women serving couldn’t have been lovelier. The sandwiches were nice and the baked goods ok. It could be improved with quieter music and some announcements indicating what we were seeing as we drive by.

Fun experience

The bus was adorable and the food was fresh amd delicious. Our guides were friendly and interactive. Wish the bus would have driven closer to some sights but overall had a great time and my kids loved it.

Cup of Tea? Yes.

Nice way to see the sights quickly and with refreshments. Delicious cookies and treats too. Worth the 90 minutes.

A really fun way to see the sights of London

My best friend treated me to this and it was so much fun. My first thoughts were that the bus smelt lovely and the decor was pretty and very clean. Our hosts Hetal and Nilza told us everything we needed to know about the drinks and food on offer and when they'd be served. They were so enthusiastic and friendly and their serving skills whilst on the move was skilful and impressive! The sandwiches and wrap were very fresh and tasty (although the cucumber sandwich could have done with a bit of seasoning). The cakes were pretty and the scone warm and tasty. We had 2 huge glasses of prosecco when we weren't even expecting any! Our tea was served in a cute plastic cup which we were encouraged to take home with us. The only thing missing was perhaps a commentary or map to highlight points of interest which would have been useful for those who don't know London. The bus terminal was easy to find and had a very new looking and clean waiting area and toilets. T It was such a relaxing way to see the sights of London, we really enjoyed it, thank you.

The tea bus was so nice and the staff was rally accommodating. Would definitely recommend. The bus was clean and nicely decorated.

Two activities in one

It was nice to do two things for one all together. The food was decent and plentiful, and it’s nice to drive around London and see the main spots. It would have been nicer if they could have told us what we were coming upon or passing by.

I think you could have a better tea experience somewhere else and take another tour.

The good was only ok, and the staff didn’t provide any comments about where the bus was passing. The music played during the tour was light rock and roll, which ordinarily I do enjoy, but expected light relaxing music.

Lovely way to see the town!

Lovely way to see the town (no commentary on locations though). Staff were wonderful. Food was good. Says soft drinks were available but that only meant orange juice or water (as a non-drinker a pop would have been preferred). Takeaway boxes should have been provided for leftovers. Lovely tea cup was a nice souvenir. Great music played on board. Good fun!

An afternoon to remember

A superb experience. 90 minutes of fun, wonderful sights and a sumptuous afternoon tea. The staff were fantastic and looked after us as if it was the first time they’d done the trip. It was my wife’s birthday treat and they treated her like royalty.

Tea on the go

We really enjoyed the fun atmosphere. It was a fun twist on a double decker tour of London. Good music, good cream tea and helpful staff.

A great experience

To be clear, this is not the best afternoon tea in London, nor is it an informative bus tour. But it was good fun, with ample tasty food, a generous glass of chilled prosecco, and a hot drink of your choice, with the lidded cup as a takeaway souvenir. We paid extra to be seated at the front upstairs, which was undoubtedly the best seat! When we arrived, there was a list, and everyone was shown to their allocated seats - it wasn't first come, first served. I wouldn't have wanted to be downstairs, as the views would have been limited. The 90 minutes took us around the main sights, with lots of opportunities to see along interesting gaps in the buildings and take photos as we crossed bridges. And I mustn't forget the lovely staff, who were bubbly and friendly.

Fun time but a tight fit

The tea bus is a lovely time, the sandwiches and pastry are delicious, the hosts are fun. My only negative is that it is a tight fit, and there is nowhere to place your belongings. Do highly recommend, just don’t take many things with you.

Needs a tour guide!

It would have been wonderful if there had been a guide telling you what you were looking at. It was a sightseeing tour but no one told you what the sights were or even gave you a map, disappointing!

English Afternoon Tea Tour: An Experience

Had a lovely singalong sightseeing experience. The staff Nilza and Mercy were excellent, both were friendly and welcoming. Everything went perfectly well. The tour comes highly recommended.

Super fun

Perfect afternoon. The team was super energetic to get the tour kicked off and fun. They celebrated birthdays and events with a song and dance. Some of the other reviews commented on the music choice, but we loved it and sang along to many songs. Food was a little bland, but overall very well done for a restaurant on wheels.

No point in taking the tour, we had no idea where we were :(

I have to say, I was quite dissapointed. The afternoon tea was fine, but the tour was not. There was no commentary, no one explaining the sights - we had no idea where we were most of the time! We did see a lot of the (financial) City, which is not very much fun is it, if there is nothing interesting to mention? Such a pity. We might as well have been in a cafe having tea, and take a serious tour on a different occasion. Too bad!

We didn’t see any landmarks at all due to protesters, quite disappointing really considering what I paid. The food was okay but not amazing the staff were lovely

English Tea Bust…200+ to split a scone between 3pol.

We purchased the premium upper deck tour. The pick up spot was difficult to find. We were standing around the corner in front of the building (where the address sends you) on the phone with customer service repeating our confirmation code for the 3rd time when the bus drove by. Literally 30 steps from the stop. The stop is next to the building in an area that looks scary. They then sent us to the office close by who sent us back to the bus stop where they squeezed us in on the bottom floor and gave us what left over food they had. Although I appreciate them taking pitty on us for being unable to find the stop, we did not get our moneys worth. The upper level seemed to be enjoying themselves. I wouldn’t go again. Over $200 for 3 people forgotten on the first level eating left overs…. We split one scone, seriously.

Perfect way to get around london

A really great experience mixing afternoon tea with a London bus. Great hosts mercy & Hetal and lovely driver Allan. Everything was fabulous just missed somebody pointing out some of the landmarks otherwise perfect
